What North East Wedding Venues Do You Recommend?

This is one question I get asked a lot as a Wedding Celebrant based in the North East, so I thought it might be helpful to list some of my favourite wedding venues located throughout the region, from Northumberland, through to Tyne and Wear and down to County Durham.
It's not exhausive, so my apologies to a few I've not added to the list that are also equally as deserving,
I've added links to each of my top picks, so you can click right on through to any that interest you.
So let's start with Newcastle upon Tyne.
Newcastle is of course a fantastic location for tying the knot and there are some really nice venues which are well worth considering for your special day. Here are my top two recommendations for the best wedding venues in the beautiful city of Newcastle upon Tyne:
Jesmond Dene House is a stunning listed country house that captures the true essence of Victorian architecture. Here you'll find beautiful gardens, exquisite marquees, and a romantic riverside setting, meaning that the only limit to your special day is your imagination.
Then there's Laing Art Gallery It's a setting that's a bit different to the norm for a wedding that’s as beautiful as the artwork on display. It's elegant, classy and offers outstanding grandeur, featuring a glass roof and is perfect for those looking for something a little different .
Or perhaps a Northumberland wedding venue be more your thing?
First on the my list in this part of the region is the Alnwick Garden. It's really stunning and offers a fairy-tale setting for your special day.
Picture 12 acres of beautiful gardens, a romantic rose garden, and spectacular views of the castle, it’ll the very definition of idyllic.
For those looking for a little more of a quirky option then it might be worth taking a look at Herding Hill Farm.
This farm-style venue is the ideal location for a romantic and rustic celebration.
The grounds of the farm are stunning and ideal for creating magical memories.
It's got two beautiful wedding barns and two stunning marquees to choose from, so plenty of options to find the perfect setting for your big day.
Last but certainly not least, how about historic County Durham?
These two venues are sure to make your special day a one to remember.
I'd recommend taking a look at Lumley Castle, in the heart of the countryside.
This stunning venue looks like it leapt out of a fairytale - it's a really lovely backdrop for your special day, and who wouldn't want to say that they got married in a castle, right!? There's so much here to make your celebration truly memorable and it's well worth checking out..
Another venue in Durham definitely worth considering is Ramside Hall Hotel.
This stately home is set in extensive grounds and gardens, and is packed full of charms. Every corner of this stunning property provides an impressive setting for your wedding.
So that's it for now.
If you have any favourites of your own, please let me know in the comments section, and I hope this list of my favourite wedding venues in our wonderful North East region helps you to find the perfect place for your nuptials!
