Beautiful, Unique, Non-Religious Weddings in the North East, Yorkshire and Beyond
What is a Humanist Wedding Ceremony?
A Humanist wedding is a non-religious wedding ceremony, centred on the love and commitment between two people and where nothing else matters - be this ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or anything else.
Many couples choose a Humanist ceremony as they want to celebrate their union in a manner that is non religious and is inclusive of all beliefs.
However, non-religious doesn't mean anti-religious. Everyone is welcome at a Humanist Ceremony!
Will we need to register our wedding for it to be official?
It’s hoped that the law in England and Wales will shortly be brought into line with Scotland where Humanist weddings have been legally recognised since 2005, however for now if you want to be married in the eyes of the law you’ll also need to do the 'legal bit' a register office.
Most couples who do usually get this out of the way shortly before their their humanist wedding, with the humanist ceremony seen as their ‘proper wedding’, but of course you don’t need to do this at all if you don’t wish to legally register your marriage.

"Nothing has been too much trouble and Paul has really taken the time to get to know us and what we wanted. I would highly recommended him to anyone looking to book a Wedding Celebrant!
We've already recommended him to 2 other couples."
